It's now the month of November! This early, have you made up your mind on what dishes to prepare for the Christmas Eve? Well, let me share you a very simple yet healthy recipe which you can use fir the coming holiday season. It's called Century Tuna Baked Ziti! Your family and evn your kids will surely love this awesome dish!
2-180 grams Century Tuna Hot and Spicy, drained
1/4 cup olive oil
2 minced garlic
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup sliced mushroom
2-14 oz cans canned diced tomatoes
1 1/2 dried basil
1 1/2 Italian seasoning
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup cream
250g penne pasta, cook according to package directions
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Pre-heat oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté garlic, onion, bell pepper and mushroom until tender. Add canned diced tomatoes, dried basil, Italian seasoning and Century Tuna hot and Spicy. Season with salt and pepper then simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add cream and cooked penne pasta, ten turn off heat.
In a large baking dish, spread half pasta at the bottom of the pan. Add half of the ricotta, cottage, and mozarella cheese, then top with the remaining pasta and cheeses.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 10-15 servings.
