Slappy Cakes introduces new menu selection by Chef Him de Baron

Slapppy Cakes at SM Aura Premiere

For anyone who has always wanted to create their own pancakes or someone who considers himself a breakfast meal aficionado, SlappyCakes is a dream come true. Known for their D-I-Y pancakes as well as their sumptuous meals done in creative presentations, it’s no secret why the restaurant continues to draw customers.

Delight in Slappy Cakes’ new menu and experience their huge servings of sinfully delicious meals that’ll surely satisfy even the most discriminating palate.  We’ve recently visited Slappy Cakes at their SM Aura  Premiere branch (located at the lower ground level) and although it was a regular day, I was surprised to find out that it is frequented by groups of friends and families with healthy appetites.

Summer Dips with Kefir Salad

The Kefir Salad is a flavorful dip and spread of textured ivory white cream made with Kefir grains, natural sea salt and garlic. The jar of 250 grams of this spread contains more probiotics than yoghurt, which means that it can be taken even before meals and will not give you an uneven appetite. It can be spread on your fried chicken and fish fillet to counter the oil that seep into those fried viands. That is to say the Kefir Salad contributes to lessen our risks for cholesterol and fuel the body’s immune system. It actually balances the body’s inner ecosystem that out digestion and bowel movement become further improved.

Chewy Cashew Oatmeal Cookies

Indulgently Chewy and carefully baked in pugon for their big and fragile flatness and circular shape to remain perfect, our Cashew Oatmeal Cookies are a filling treat without the artificial flavors! They only have organic flour, cashew nuts, Himalayan untreated salt, butter and duck eggs as main ingredients. Very tasty and a perfect treat for camping, trekking, picnic and swimming!

Book and Borders Cafe Opens at Mckinley Hill, Bonifacio Global City

Sometimes, you just want to shut off the rest of the world, isolate yourself in a quiet nook and be alone for an intimate "me" time. If you're a bookworm like me, I'm sure there's nothing like a place where you could cuddle up a good read while sipping a warm cup of chocolate, infused tea or coffee in between. The good news is, there's such a place where you can enjoy life's simple pleasures called Book and Borders Cafe. A themed cafe where time stops amidst the aroma of brewed coffee wafting in the air. If you're a regular reader of my food blog, you must remember that I once wrote about the opening of their first branch in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Now, people from Makati would be happy to know that Book and Borders opens a new branch in the upscale Tuscany, Mckinley Hill in Bonifacio Global City.
