We commend the dedication of the Filipino yuppies in uplifting the lives of their own families and in helping boost the economy. We launched Sizzling Specials at Max’s with them in mind. We want to take a well-deserved respite from a grueling day at work and enjoy their all-time favorite Filipino appetizers, complemented by Max’s classic heirloom dishes with their friends and colleagues,” shared Carlyn Sanguyo, LSM Marketing Manager for Max’s Restaurant.

Max's Corner Bakery Cake sample

Our beloved Max’s Corner Bakery introduces yet another innovative way of bringing home Filipino favorite pasalubong with its Max’s Corner Bakery Cake Box sampler box. A small box filled with our Max’s Corner Bakery staple favorite goodie cakes such as Banana Cake, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, and Quezo Cake. There are eight pieces of cakes found on each Max’s Cake sample box (2 pieces for each cake), which is perfect pasalubong to our loved ones. What’s more? It already comes in an easy-to-carry small box, ready to give away as present for special occasions. Add in some dedication card and you’re ready to go. Or better yet, bring home a box or two to share with your family and friends.

We love the sinfully delicious Chocolate Cake, one can’t go wrong with their Banana Cake sample, and those who prefer fewer calories will surely love the Carrot Cake while those with discriminating palate will definitely appreciate the cheesy goodness of the Quezo Cake.

The best part of all is that you are able to save Php11 from a box of Max’s Corner Bakery Cake sampler. The entire cake sampler costs Php150 if bought individually, but if purchasing the Max’s Corner Bakery Cake Sampler box; it will only cost you Php139 per box.

Burger Machine’s Coffee Crumble Sanzrival: A Little Piece of Heaven

Burger Machine food stall

I grew up with Burger Machine kiosks that used to be like mushrooms around the metro. These were the days when there was no Buy 1, Take 1 type of burgers yet. At that time, if you can’t afford to eat at fast food joints, Burger Machine stands was probably your next bet. I don’t know if I could be considered a fan of Burger Machine stalls but I remember admiring their colorful food trucks as a kid.

Well, there must be only a few Burger Machine stalls now but I’ve recently discovered a delightful treat one #throwback Thursday at the Burger Machine stall I used to hangout to. If you’re my personal friend or you’ve been reading my travel blog at www.chubbylakwatsera.blogspot.com, you know very well that I’ve just been to Dumaguete. Call it any other way, but perhaps I still can’t get enough of Sans Rival silvanas. But perhaps it was destiny that Burger Machine introduces their Coffee Crumble Sanzrival.

Burger Machine Coffee Crumble Sanzrival

I could vividly recall when my sister was still pregnant with my beloved nephew Kyle about a decade ago, she had a strange fondness of Burger Machine’s original sanzrival that I thought she’d never get tired of eating them everyday. I’ve recently tried Burger Machine’s Coffee Crumble Sanzrival and I’d have to say that this is a little piece of heaven for those with sweet tooth and a cookies ‘n cream lover.

Burger Machine’s Coffee Crumble Sanzrival could rival a slice of pastries and cakes from well-known bakeshops. It is such a small slice for Php18 each, but it is remarkably chewy, tasty, creamy, and buttery with some bittersweet aftertaste coming from the coffee crumbs. As a pastry chef, I’d say that this one’s truly a piece of heaven for a relatively cheap price. Where else could you see a small piece of dessert for only Php18? I just hope that this is available in all Burger Machine stands nationwide.

Burger Machine’s Coffee Crumble Sanzrival is one foodie discovery that will surely be a hit among those who prefer a sweet and cheap way to cap off one’s meal.
Coffee Crumble Sanzrival is now available at Burger Machine’s stalls.
