For a fun, casual night out with family and friends, check out Cuisiniers by Rapheray Co at Cucina Andare. It is a pig out style family grill kiosk at Cucina Andare; just writing about them now makes me salivate. Calling all carnivores out there: Cuisiniers by Rapheray Co serves grilled meat recipes that are cooked to perfection using only the freshest ingredients. Cuisiniers also satisfies our inexplicable love for inihaw recipes grilled dishes like Grilled Liempo, Pork Barbecue, Slow Cooked Roast Beef and my ultimate favorite Chicken Barbecue!

Cuisiniers to-die-for Chicken BBQ

Cuisiniers owner Ms. Andrea Dela Cruz

Owner Ms. Andrea Dela Cruz says that it takes three days for their meat to prepare and eight hours of marination. Honestly, this kiosk serves up one of the best tasting chicken barbecue I’ve ever tasted, even better from the more popular ones like Mang Inasal or the old-time favorite Aristocrat. And their mouth-watering chicken barbecue tastes good even without the sauce. Fork tender and melt-in-your-mouth, their chicken barbecue is sticky-lick-your-fingers-good.

Pork Barbecue is just as good. The slow roasted beef are so soft and tender too, another melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The chicken barbecue is priced at P80 per stick. For the slow cooked roast beef, an order costs P130. For ultimate pig-out session, dare to pair any grilled dish with a sisig on the side. Prices are affordable in both “Just for You” and “To Share” portions.

With its tempting combination of tender meat, tasty sauces and hint of spice, it’s no wonder Cuisiniers is always packed with satisfied guests each night.

CRUNCHY BELLY BY CARLOS KITCHEN SINFULLY ADDICTING

With its irresistible combination of sinfully crunchy and tasty belly, Crunchy Belly by Carlos Kitchen tops the list of the must-visit kiosks at Cucina Andare. Well-known for its golden caramel colored crispy pork bellies, Crunchy Belly is deep-fried to perfection infused with spices to achieve that beautiful color, flavorful and amazing crunch. According to its owner, Ms. Kat Reatazo, their family loves to eat pork and they thought of crunchy belly since it’ll surely standout among all the other products in a food market.  “It’s our version of bacon, crispy pata and bagnet,” says Ms. Kat. And they were totally right based on the warm and positive feedbacks from their customers.

With Crunchy Belly, all you need is a heaping of rice and you’re in for a great and satisfying meal. A word of caution though, Crunchy Belly is heart-stopping good and sinfully addicting. Not ideal for those suffering from high blood and hypertensions. But if you happen to have an affinity for crunch and salty pork, then you’ll certainly love and find bliss with Crunchy Belly. Sure, your cholesterol level may skyrocket, but your tummy will definitely be satisfied after having devoured several servings.

PING GU CRISPY FRIED OYSTER MUSHROOM FRIES

The first time I discovered that one could make fried oyster mushroom tasted like fried chicken was almost a decade ago. It was at that time when my beloved nephew Kyle did not want to eat anything else except ‘fried chicken’. Of course, I needed to feed him and that’s how I came about frying oyster mushrooms.  Luckily, Kyle loved it and he did not notice any difference. It was only several years after when I made my ‘confession’ that it wasn’t a ‘real’ chicken. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon Ping Gu Crispy Fried Oyster Mushroom Fries during my recent visit at Cucina Andare.

Ping Gu Crispy Fried Oyster Mushroom Fries will have you at “Love at first bite up to the last one”. And if I’m not mistaken, it’s a ‘first’ in the local food scene. It is comfort food at its best. Ping Gu Oyster Mushroom Fries owner Ms. Jewel Joven proudly says that they have a customer who had to travel far just to satisfy his cravings of their Ping Gu Fried Oyster Mushroom Fries.

Joven’s original family business had something to do with handicrafts. But for some reason, after winning Entrepreneur magazine’s the Search for the Big Food Entrepreneur in 2012, which eventually earned them enough capital to start a new business, Ping Gu Crispy Oyster Mushroom Fries was born. They tested the waters in the said business in January of 2013 when they first opened in another foodie haven Mezza Norte. After five months, they now have another branch at Cucina Andare.

I asked Ms. Joven how they’re able to maintain the oyster mushroom’s quality considering the heat in the country. You see, oyster mushrooms can be quite difficult to handle as improper handling could lead to changes in appearance from ivory white to yellowish and from soft to slimy. According to Ms. Joven, they’re very strict when it comes to oyster mushroom standards. “They are delivered to us freshly harvested at around 3 or 4AM.” Ping Gu sourced their oyster mushrooms from Nasugbu, Batangas but eventually Joven had expressed her desire to have their own mushrooms.

Okay, so what is it about Ping Gu Crispy Oyster Mushroom Fries? It is very light yet tasty. It comes in three different dipping sauces: ketsup (for the conventional ones), gravy (best for kids, again I was right it tasted like chicken!) or Sweet Chilli sauce for an added kick! It is available in three sizes: Single Serve is at 100 grams for only Php79, Double Serving is at 200 grams for Php149 and Triple Serving or Family Size at 300 grams for Php229.

AHBIE'S KITCHEN PASTA STATION

They say that an ideal way to consume spaghetti is to whirl it around a fork until, ‘pin’ the ends with a slice of fresh tomato, and savor its taste. But with Abhie’s Kitchen—the ideal way to eat pasta is to have it your own way.  Abhie’s Kitchen is one of the many food stalls found at Cucina Andare. What probably sets Abhie’s Kitchen apart from all the other food stalls is the fact that you can make pasta dishes made according to your preference.

Mompreneur Abigail Sanga

Ms. Abigail Sanga, Abhie's Kitchen owner
Certified Mompreneur Abigail Sanga who owns Abhie’s Kitchen says that the idea of her business was inspired by her desire to please kids with her pasta dish, thus Abhie’s Kitchen was born. “Kids as we all know can be very picky when it comes to food. And since they love spaghetti, I decided to create a business out of it” says Ms. Abhie. True enough, with Abhie’s Kitchen, you can choose your base first. Choose from penne, fusili or the usual spaghetti pasta. Then, pick your own sauce: Abhie’s white sauce, creamy garlic sauce or the bestseller, four-cheese sauce. Finally, select your add-ons; you can smother your pasta with generous ham, bacon, etc.
