Moonleaf Tea Shop, which had perfected brewed tea as well as deliciously healthy and refreshing milk teas, recently celebrated its anniversary by brewing something truly exciting for tea enthusiasts. It also coincides with the relaunch of its sole branch in Makati, located at The Columns, Tower 1 in Ayala Avenue.
Moonleaf Tea Shop which started out as a charming shop along Magiting Street in UP Teacher’s Village in Diliman, Quezon City in 2010 has really gone a long way. Their first branch with cozy and comfy interiors has gained a cult following of tea lovers from young professionals and students within the said vicinity. It isn’t surprising since Moonleaf’s tea drinks and mixes have become popular among tea aficionados because they are made from freshly brewed, top-quality tea leaves imported from the best tea-growing regions of Taiwan.

While you’re at Moonleaf, try to sample products from The Sweet Studio, a brand exclusively sold at Moonleaf that are perfectly paired with their milk teas or hot teas. I’ve tried French Macaroons in Red Velvet and Peanut Butter flavors. Their brownies are also one of the moist ones I’ve ever tasted. Not too sweet, but just right. Their chicken or beef turnovers are soft on the inside yet sweet and salty on the outside. The Sweet Studio’s Chocolate Truffles are also good. During the relaunch of Moonleaf Makati Branch, guests were treated to special surprise treats including discounted tea drinks, free add ons like tapioca pearls, nata and pudding, creatively designed and eco-friendly planners as freebies. As a way of thanksgiving, Moonleaf also hosted “Moonleaf Beats,” a live celebration for customers and tea enthusiasts. Emerging artists such as Ebe Dancel, LM Cancio, Ai dela Cruz and Anyo treated guests to exciting acoustic sets. There were also raffle prizes; special coupons to further complete the gimmick night with friends.
