Thumbs Up Sizzling Stuffed Grilled Squid
We sat inside Thumbs Up but there are al fresco dining options if you feel like eating outside. Despite its location on a street off a bustling road, it is happy to note that the atmosphere was a little quieter, which we found really nice. The food was delicious and served piping hot, mostly on sizzling plates. If you're looking for a delicious appetizer or a satisfying meal, you need not look further than Thumbs Up's stuffed grilled squid! Marinated in a sweet and tangy vinaigrette and then stuffed with onions and tomatoes, it is then grilled over hot coals to juicy and flavorful perfection.

New Dishes You Should Try at Mango Tree Bistro BGC

Mango Tree Bistro in BGC

Mango Tree is an international restaurant chain from Thailand that serves authentic Thai dishes along with fusion meals that will surely satiate your palate. Security Blanket was among the privileged ones who got invited to taste and try the new dishes at Mango Tree Bistro in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Among the Mango Tree Bistro outlets, their flagship store at BGC is the one I frequently visit not only because of its authentic Thai dishes but also because it gives off that Thai-inspired ambiance. Plus, they have a very extensive menu and it's so easy to get lost in it too because the names are in Thai, it's best to ask what dish is made of. Another thing I love about Mango Tree is that you can order the good, tried-and-tested Thai dishes that Filipinos love alongside new Thai specialties you haven't tried before.

Without much further ado, allow me to share with you my latest food discoveries, the new dishes you guys should try at the Mango Tree Bistro in BGC.

Mango Tree Bistro Thai Crispy Rice Crackers with dipping sauce
Deep fried Thai crispy crackers (Php280)--Served with a creamy and savoury dip made with coconut milk, shrimp and chicken strips. It tasted like rice puffs with peanut buttery and coconut after taste. A good way to start your meal if you will ask me.

Thai pork skewers

Thai Chicken and Thai Pork Skewers (Php420)--Grilled marinated chunks of chicken and pork skewers with cherry tomato, bell peppers, white onions and pineapple served with sweet vinegar sauce. If you're a carnivore, both skewers will surely delight your taste buds.

Thai Chicken Skeweres

Prawns in pandan

Prawns in Pandan (Php580)--Marinated prawns in aromatic pandan leaves. It was cooked very well with no burnt taste and served with a yummy tamarind sauce.
Deep fried prawns in tamarind sauce

Deep Fried Prawns in Tamarind Sauce (Php580)--Deep fried prawns topped with garlic, chilies, spring onions and tamarind sauce. I feel sorry for those who are allergic to prawns (as well as other seafoods) because they won't be able to taste this dish and the prawns in pandan. They both taste fantastic!

Tom Yum Chicken Wings

Tom Yum Chicken Wings (Php290)--Deep fried chicken wings in Tom Yum Powder. Delicious and finger licking chicken wings with some kick and tangy taste. Truly, a feast for your palate.

Phad thai with soft shell crab

Phad Thai with Soft Shell Crab (P550)--Thai stir-fried rice noodles with soft shell crab. Who would have thought that mixing pha thai along with soft shell crab would be a terrific way to serve our all-time fave noodle dish? With the Mango Tree Bistro's resident Thai chef working his magic on each dish, you will never go wrong.

How Mang Inasal satisfies the Rice-Eating Pinoys

Mang Inasal’s delicious food offerings bring out the quirks in Filipino food lovers to embrace the sarap ng kaing Pinoy experience.

There is no denying that the Filipino’s have an undying love for food. Our fiesta-driven culture is full of celebrations marked by the partaking of food. In fact, Filipinos have made it a point to find almost every reason to eat. Any Pinoy gathering, name it, and food will always be a part of it.

Interestingly, food-loving Pinoys have developed quirky eating habits -– from their generous use of condiments to their shameless use of hands during boodle fights.

Customers can satisfy their cravings for Pinoy comfort food with Mang Inasal’s paborito meals.

Mang Inasal,
the home of the 2-in-1 sa laki, nuot sa ihaw sarap chicken inasal, has not only  captured the taste of Pinoy comfort foods. It has also encouraged a dining experience where everyone is comfortable to show their eating habits, making for a true sarap ng kaing Pinoy moment with loved ones.

I remember the very first time that my best friend and I brought her French-Canadian husband Pierre to Mang Inasal. He fell in love at first bite with the Mang Inasal chicken. He even managed to eat with his bare hands and enjoyed dipping them in the mixed soy sauce, calamansi and vinegar sauce. He also put a lot of annato oil on both his mounds of unlimited rice and chicken. To think we never really thought he'd be able to enjoy eating that much! If a foreigner whose totally clueless how one should eat chicken inasal would enjoy that much, what more could the typical Filipinos, right?

Paradise Dynasty: There's more to explore and experience than their Signature Xiao Long Bao

Paradise Dynasty at the 2nd level of The Podium in Mandaluyong City

Paradise Dynasty can be quite intimidating for first-timers because of its high-end vibe and exquisite modern imperial design with wood carvings and well-lighted ceilings. But don't allow such intimidation to stop you from dining here. Paradise Dynasty is a Singaporean restaurant franchise which specializes in imperial cuisine with authentic local flavors from Northern and Southern China. They have their flagship branch at the posh S Maison Mall in Conrad Hotel, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. And recently, they have opened another branch at the 2nd level of The Podium Mall in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.

Known for their legendary take on the 8 flavors of their signature Xiao Long Bao, we were surprised to find out that there's a lot more to explore and experience at Paradise Dynasty. From their appetizers, soups, drinks, all the way to the mains (which are mostly composed of Szchuan and La Mien dishes)--were all value for one's money because they're really excellent in taste yet good for sharing too. The best part? They're all reasonably priced too.
