Magic Crackers kicks off its third year of magic moments in the City of Pines

John Lloyd Cruz surprises this lady.

Press release: Magic Man John Lloyd Cruz has struck again, this time kicking off the third wave of the Magic Moments campaign in the City of Pines, Baguio City.

The Magic Fun Fair set foot at the University of Baguio, where students enjoyed fair-themed game booths. Students  enjoyed games such as Spill the Magic Coating, Go Fish Magic Junior, Magic Tic-Tac-Chips, Magic Wheel of Creams and of course, everyone’s favorite, the Magic Selfie with Lloydie booth wherein they could bring home printouts of their snapshots with the Magic Man’s life-sized standee.

The fair became even livelier as the Acting Acting Lang booth opened its floors to students who bravely took the challenge of re-enacting Magic’s Anticipation Television Commercial. Complete with vibrant costumes, props, and cast stand-ins, the search for the day’s best actress was on as fearless females played the role of the TVC’s main character. Little did one of the participants know, she was up for more than just bragging rights of being the day’s leading lady.

Expecting that a stand-in for John Lloyd Cruz will appear at the end of the stint, 20-year old Charina Nuynuyan  screamed in surprise as she came face-to-face with the actual Magic Man. To add to the already-magical moment, JLC awarded Charina with a Magic Valentine Shopping Spree worth P50,000 of Robinsons gift certificates. In Robinsons Supermarket on Session Road, a lucky mommy-grocer also got the shock of her life when, after being made to wait for a free product, the Magic Man appeared out of nowhere to personally replenish the stocks. Aside from meeting the matinee idol, the mom of two, Mary Jane S. Salvador of Gabriela Silang, Baguio City, also received a Magic Valentine Package consisting of an overnight stay, dinner for two and a spa package.

More Magic Moments await lucky, unsuspecting targets as the team continues to go around the country to spread more cheer. Witness how our lucky winners were surprised by the Magic Man and like the official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/magiccracker

Comida Chefs Gallery Café Kamias Road Review: Ilocano-fusion Hole-in-the-wall Snack Bar

It may seem a bit odd for some people to combine an art gallery together with an intimate dining set up. But for some reason, it perfectly jived—and such was the case at Comida Chefs. Located at the second floor of Caballete Art Gallery, along that bustling Kamias Road in Quezon City, Comida Chefs is a brainchild of renowned fashion designer Danny Dela Cuesta, who had traveled around the world and studied a culinary course in Europe. He used to have a restaurant in Lucky Plaza mall in Singapore which served a fusion of Singaporean + Filipino cuisines, but he decided to come home to the Philippines and open up a catering business and a small dining area that serves Ilocano-fusion. This is his specialization as he’s a regional cuisine developer. He first opened up Comida Ilocandia along Timog but he had to close it down when an opportunity to partner with an art gallery opened because such is the trend now. Thus, Comida Chefs was born.
